It was with sadness that Hope Corner closed its doors in March due to the pandemic that was sweeping Barnet and the London area.

We were particularly concerned for our more vulnerable visitors, many of whom were asked by the NHS to shield themselves.

During the initial period, we remained in contact with many such residents, checking up that they were coping with things.

The management (all of whom were furloughed) and trustees of the centre were looking at starting a new project to provide some form of voluntary help into the community, such as lunch deliveries.
